What are infinite (endless) loops?

An endless loop is a sequence that is continually repeated over and over again.

In our case this could happen when some accounts build a synchronization circuit like that:

In the example if you add a new contact in “X1” this will come again to “X1” from “X3”, and “X1” will send that again to “X2” and so on.

It could be that one of those accounts (X1, X2 or X3) detect that the new contact already exist and send a delete command, originating a “bad” endless loop: add, delete, add, delete, …

Kylook helps you to avoid the most common synchronization loops. Kylook detect and stop them. But it could be also that some third-party accounts create a loop and Kylook don’t have any chance to correct that. We recommend you to check the accounts on your device and to disable (stop) the contact synchronization of at least one of the involved accounts.

On your Android Smartphone / tablet you can do that in this way:

…. but stop only the sync  contacts

Warning: almost every APP on your device CAN read the “standard” Android contact list.

For important contacts, those you want to protect from thefts, we recommend you not to sync these contacts with the standard Device Address Book.

Your contact list will be safer if you keep these only in your Kylook APP.
