Browser Local storage error – can’t download the contact list

Is the internet browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox…) not able to display your entire contact list?

The most likely reason is a limit for local storage, the memory space your browser need on your hard disk.

Normally the browser will ask for the permission to increase the local storage for your address book, the message will looks like this:

You should answer with “Yes” and allow the browser to use additional hard disk space for your contact list.

Don’t worry; follow the next steps and you will be able to see your entire contact list:

 


For Internet Explorer

Here Internet Explorer 11 as example

1. Click the gear (Tools) Icon at the top-right corner of your browser window (older versions click the Tools menu)

2. Choose: Internet options

3. On the General tab, in the “Browsing history section” click on the Settings button

4. Select the “Cache and data base” tab

5. Select the Kylook row and click on the “exceed limit” button

6. Close the Internet explorer settings

7. Return to your Kylook web address book and click on “Try again”

 


Chrome Desktop (PC / Mac)

1. Open chrome://settings/cookies

2. Select the domain you want to clear

3. Click on the cookie or the storage resource you wish to delete, then click “Remove”

4. Return to your Kylook web address book and click on “Try again”

You can also delete individual items on DevTools Resources panel

1. Go to the F12 developer tools

2. Click on the gear icon in the right hand side of the developer tools window

3. Check the ‘Disable cache (while DevTools is open) under the General section
The cache is re-enabled when the user comes back out of the developer tools

4. Return to your Kylook web address book and click on “Try again”

 


Chrome for Android

1. Open “Settings”

2. Open “Content settings”

3. Open “Website settings”

4. Tap the domain

5. Tap on “Clear stored data”

On Chrome for Android, you can inspect storage types by following the same procedure as desktop version described above.

 


Firefox

Enter “about:config” in the address bar

Click on the button warning you about making changes

Locate the network.http.use-cache entry

Double click the entry and it will change from false to true
